School of Aviation Technology; Lafayette, Ind. - One hundred-twelve Purdue University aviation technology and aeronautical engineering students and staff members were installed here this week, as charter members of the newly formed Beta chapter of Alpha Eta Rho, national professional aviation fraternity. The chapter is not only the fraternity's newest, but largest, says Prof. Harold S. Wood, assistant dean of Parks College of St. Louis University, St. Louis, Mo., and national secretary of the 19-chapter, 1,100 member fraternity. Prof. Wood came here for the installation ceremony. Purdue Beta chapter includes 100 student members and 12 faculty and staff members. J. E. Townsend, instructor in aviation technology's professional pilot curriculum, is faculty adviser. Prof. James R. Maris, head of aviation technology was organizer of the local unit. |
