Abstract |
Mary Alice Nebold talks about her early years in the Midwest. She earned a bachelors degree in 1959 and masters degree in 1968 from Purdue University. A faculty member in the Department of Consumer Sciences and Retailing in the School of Consumer Sciences, she discusses teaching, students, acting as a faculty advisor, serving on department/school committees, curriculum, graduate program and diversity within the college. She served as Associate Dean of the college and talks about the strategic plan, fundraising and the 75th anniversary of the college. Nebold remarks on the changes in Chauncey Village. She continues membership in the Virginia Meredith Club and was the historian for the Purdue Retirees Association (PURA). Among her awards and honors are the Special Boilermaker Award from the Purdue Alumni Association and a Sagamore of the Wabash. |
