The minutes of the seventh meeting of the University Senate held on May 17, 1965, were approved as distributed. 2. Vice-President Chenea welcomed the Senators and guests. 3. The Agenda was accepted with Item 4 designated "for action" and Item 5 "for discussion only. " 4. Dean Jenkins presented University Senate Document 65-1 which requests approval of the Bachelor of Science degree for undergraduate students in Pharmacy. (A copy of the document is attached.) He moved approval of the document. The motion was seconded and passed without dissenting vote. 5. Professor R. L. Whistler presented University Senate Document 65-2, Resolution on Political Activities. He indicated that this document represents a substantive matter and that it was being presented for discussion only. Vice-President Chenea called attention to the Executive Memorandum No. A-58 as printed in the Faculty Handbook, pages 95-97. He pointed out that Part I contains the action of the Board of Trustees. Part II contains the administrative regulations and Part III contains the Faculty resolution under discussion here. He further indicated that there was no reason for limiting the administrative regulations to the holding of part-time offices
