KahloDean Central College of Physicians & SurgeonsIndianapolis IndianaDear SirIn my communication to you of September 22nd I outlined in a general way some suggestions regarding the proposed union of the Central College of Physicians and Surgeons with the School of Medicine of Purdue University. In the light of further conference & discussion I am now able to present the matter in a more definite way as followsAs I understand, it is proposed by the Faculty and Trustees of the Central College of Physicians and Surgeons to at once take the following action1. To suspend the operations of the college.2. To transfer to Purdue University for its School of MedicineA. Its students and alumni.B. Its property, other than real estateC. Its funds derived from tuition fees for the current school year, less such amounts as have been or must be expended to meet outstanding current indebtedness.Upon formal action by the Faculty & Trustees of the Central College of Physicians and Surgeons, putting into effect the provisions above stated, Purdue University will agree as follows1. To receive into its school of Medicine the students and alumni of the Central College upon the same terms and with equal privileges with those now enjoyed by the students at present enrolled in the said School of Medicine of Purdue University.2. To receive the property and funds of the Central College as above referred to, for the sole use and benefit of the Scholl of Medicine, but it is expressly stated and understood that neither Purdue University nor the School of Medicine will assume any debts or claims of any descriptions now or at any future time existing against the Central College.3. To appoint to positions in the School of Medicine not less than seventeen (17) members of the present Faculty of the Central College, said positions to consist of, one Professorship
