Dresser presented his appointment as a member of the Board. Said appointment runs for three years from June 18-1892 and properly signed and sealed. Mr. J.N. Davidson presented his reappointment as a Trustee of Purdue, appointment good for three years from Aug. 25-1892 and properly acknowledged. Minutes of last meeting June 6-7 read and approved. The President of the Board appointed Mr. Dresser a member of the Executive Committee, in place of Judge Wiley retired. On Mr. Dresser’s motion the Board approved the action of President Smart in raising Prof. Flather’s salary to $1800. On Mr. Dresser’s motion Pres. Smart was authorized to select one representative each from the University and the Station to attend the annual convention of Land Grant Colleges to be held at New Orleans in November next. The Board approved Pres. Smart’s claim of $40.00 for money expended in securing members of the Faculty. On Mr. Johnson’s motion the salary of A. Jenkins Janitor of the Mechanical Building was raised to $40.00 per month. Mr. Jas. H. Wells’ resignation as Instructor in shops was accepted by the Board. Miss Anna E. Baker’s resignation as Instructor in word carving was accepted. President Smart presented a list of new Professors & Instructors for Purdue. The communication reads as followsTo the Board of Trustees of Purdue UniversityGentlemen, I herewith nominate the following Instructors of Purdue University
