Any person by paying One Dollar, may enter as many different articles for exhibition, as he or she may own. Badges will be sold at One Pollar each, which will admit tothe grounds, during the Fair, a man, his wife, and childern under twenty one years of age, without distinction as to days The transfer of Badges will ce punished to the full extent of the lav.'. Single Tickets will be sold at tho office, at Twenty-Five Cents each, good-for one admission, on Thursday and Friday of the Fair w cc!**. RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE FAIR. Exhibitors are required to have their articles enb*"-cd on the books, at the business ofiiee, before thoy are placed within the cnclojurc. Ou the entry of the articles and animals, cards will be furnished, with the number and class, as entered at the office, which etc to be placed on the animal or article to be exhibited. No nrtlclr shall re ren-orM before the do*? of th? exhibi tion, without the permission of some member of the Executive Committee. Every exhibitor should have his articles .on the grounds and arranged in their places, by Tuesday the 3d, and if delayed beyound 12 o'clock, M., ofthe 3d, tfieij cannot come in competition for premiums Applicants for premiums at the Fair, should pay particular attention to the requirements for Fat Cattle, Milch Cotes, Ffl% Sheep, Plows, Butter, Cheese, Honey, Sugar, dj-c, t)j*c. Applicants for premiums on field crops, must send in their statements as required, to the oilice of the Board,at Indianapolis, previous to the annual meeting ofthe Board, on the tirst Wednesday after the first Monday of January, 1£55. For premiums, in thecla«s of Horses and Cattle, open to all, as well as foreign Horses and Cattle, it is expected diflerent breeds of animals will be brought into competition with each other.— The awards are to be made in favor of the animals which approach the nearest to the standard of perfection for the various breeds and classes. JUDGES. Th& Judges are requested to report themselves on their arrival, at the business office, on the grounds. The Judges will meet at the speaker's tent, at 11 o'clock, on the 3d of October, when their names will be called, vacancies supplied, and they will then enter upon their duties. They are requested to make their reports to the Secretary, at the business olr.ee, as early as practicable.— The reports must all be made by 3 o'clock, V. M., on the 5th. INSTRUCTIONS TO JUDGES. 'The Judges on Animrfls will have regard to the symmetry, ear" ly maturity, size, and general characteristics of the breeds which they judge. * They will make proper allowances for age, feeding and other circumstances ofthe character anil condition ofthe animals. They are expressly required not to give encouragement to over-fed animals. No premiums are to be awarded to bulls, cows, or heifers, which shall appear to have been fattened for the butcher; the object being to have superior animals of this description for breeding. ' No person whatever will be allowed to interfere with the Judges daring their adjudications'. The Judges on stock, if not satisfied as to the regularity of the entries in their respective classes, will apply to the Secretary for information; and should there be any doubts after examination of their coming within the regulations, or if any animal is of such a character as not to be entitled to exhibition in competition, they will report the fact to the Executive Committee, that such coerse'may be adopted as the case may require-' FAT CATTLE. The Judges on Fat Cattle will give particular attention to the animals submitted to examination. It is believed that all other things being equal, those are the best cattle that have the greatest weight in the smallest superficies. The Judges will require.all the cattle in this class to be weighed, and will take measures to give tbe superficies of each,and publish the result with their reports. GENERAL RULES APPLICABLE TO ANIMALS. ■When there is but one exhibitor, although he may show several animals in a class, only one premium will be awarded; that to be first, or otherwise, as the merits of the animal may be judged. A premium tcill not be awarded when the animal is not worthy, though there be no competition. REPORTS. The Judges, (especially those on animals,) will be expected to give the reasons of their decisions, embracing the valuable and desirable qualities of the animals or articles to which premiums arc awarded. DISCRETIONARY PREMIUMS. No viewing committee shall award any discretionary premiums. "Whenever, however, articles of merit, superior in their character are presented, and which are entitled to special commendation, the: Judges are desired to notice them particularly, and refer thcui to the consideration of the Board, at a subsequent meeting. REPORTS OF JUDGES'. The Reports of the Judges will be read on Friday, and the premiums in plate will be paid by the Treasurer, on the order of the Secretary. Other premiums will be paid on Friday and Saturday., at the othce room of the Board.
