L NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Board of Trustees (the "Board") of The Trustees of Purdue University (the "Corporation") convened in stated meeting at 1:45 p.m., Friday, April 2, 1999, in Room 304, Purdue Memorial Union Building, West Lafayette campus, pursuant to the following Notice mailed to each member of the Board by the Secretary on March 2,1999:
In accordance with the Bylaws, there will be a stated meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convening at 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 2, 1999, Anniversary Drawing Room, Purdue Memorial Union Building, West Lafayette campus.
Specific Agenda items will be posted and distributed subsequently in the manner required by law.
II. ROLL CALL, FRIDAY, APRIL 2,1999.
Chairman McGinley called the meeting to order at 1:45 p.m. The following members of the Board were present as follows: Mrs. Edmondson, Messrs. Edwardson, Essex, Hardin, Jesse, McGinley, McKenna, Moreau, Powers and Townsend. Also present for all or part of the meefing were Dr. Beering, President of the University; Mr. Burns, Treasurer of the Corporation and Executive Vice President and Treasurer of the University; Dr. Ringel, the University's Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs; Board Secretary Pearson; Legal Counsel Ryan; University Vice Presidents Almond, Bennett, Huie, Kjonaas, Robinson, Sautter and Wise; Interim Vice President for Research and Dean of the Graudate School Isom; Interim Vice President Rollock; Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Burke; Chancellors Alspaugh (North Central), Wartell (Fort Wayne) and Yackel (Calumet); David Varca, Student Body President, Purdue Student Government; and Professor Stanley Hem, Chair, University Senate.
III. REVIEW OF FUTURE MEETING SCHEDULE, BOARD OF TRUSTEES.
Chairman McGinley drew attention to the listing of future meetings. He reminded the Trustees that the next two Board Meeting dates are on May 21,1999, and July 9, 1999. He also requested that the Board members list the year 2000 dates on their calendars. Dr. Beering informed the Trustees of a dinner meeting the evening of Thursday, September 16, and asked to have that date added to their calendars.
