I. NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Board of Trustees (the "Board") of The Trustees of Purdue University (the "Corporation") convened in stated meeting at 1:43 p.m., Friday, November 20, 1998, in Room 304, Purdue Memorial Union Building, West Lafayette campus, pursuant to the following Notice mailed to each member of the Board by the Secretary on October 20, 1998:
In accordance with the Bylaws, there will be a stated meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convening at 1:30 p.m., Friday, November 20, 1998, Anniversary Drawing Room, Purdue Memorial Union Building, on the campus at West Lafayette.
Specific Agenda items will be posted and distributed subsequently in the manner required by law.
II. ROLL CALL, FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20,1998.
Chairman McGinley called the meeting to order at 1:43 p.m. The following members of the Board were present as follows: Mrs. Edmondson, Messrs. Edwardson, Essex, Hardin, Jesse, McGinley, McKenna, Moreau, and Powers. Also present for all or part of the meeting were Dr. Beering, President of the University; Mr. Burns, Treasurer of the Corporation and Executive Vice President and Treasurer of the University; Board Secretary Pearson; Legal Counsel Ryan; University Vice Presidents Almond, Bennett, Huie, Kjonaas, Proenza, Robinson, Sautter and Wise; Interim Vice President Rollock; Chancellors Alspaugh (North Central), Wartell (Fort Wayne) and Yackel (Calumet); David Varca, Student Body President, Purdue Student Government; and Professor Stanley Hem, Chair, University Senate.
The absence of Trustee Townsend was excused by consent of the Board.
III. REVIEW OF FUTURE MEETING SCHEDULE, BOARD OF TRUSTEES.
Chairman McGinley drew attention to the listing of future meetings, noting in particular activities related to the Saturday, December 19,1998 Board meeting.
