I. NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Board of Trustees (the "Board") of The Trustees of Purdue University (the "Corporation") convened in stated meeting at 10:10 a.m., Friday, May 29, 1998, in Rooms 224-228 of the Walter W. Walb Student Union, Indiana University- Purdue University Fort Wayne, pursuant to the following Notice mailed to each member of the Board by the Secretary on May 4, 1998:
In accordance with the Bylaws, there will be a stated meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convening at 10 a.m., Friday, May 29, 1998, 224-228 Walter W. Walb Student Union Building on the campus of Indiana University- Purdue University Fort Wayne.
Specific Agenda items will be posted and distributed subsequently in the manner required by law.
II. ROLL CALL, FRIDAY, MAY 29,1998.
Chairman McGinley called the meeting to order at 10:10 a.m. The following members of the Board were present as follows: Mrs. Edmondson, Messrs. Edwardson, Essex, Hardin, Jesse, McGinley, McKenna, Moreau, Powers and Townsend. Also present for all or part of the meeting were Dr. Beering, President of the University; Dr. Ford, Treasurer of the Corporation and Executive Vice President and Treasurer of the University; Dr. Ringel, the University's Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs; Board Secretary Pearson; Legal Counsel Ryan; University Vice Presidents Bennett, Burns, Kjonaas, and Proenza; Chancellors Alspaugh (North Central), Wartell (Fort Wayne) and Yackel (Calumet); David Varca, Student Body President, Purdue Student Government, and Professor Linda Duttlinger, Chair, University Senate.
III. REVIEW OF FUTURE MEETING SCHEDULE, BOARD OF TRUSTEES.
Chairman McGinley drew attention to the listing of future meetings, noting in particular the change in meeting date for the September 1998 meeting to September 4,1998.
