I. NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Board of Trustees (the "Board") of The Trustees of Purdue University (the "Corporation") convened in stated meeting at 1:35 p.m., Friday, February 6, 1998, in Room 304, Purdue Memorial Union Building, West Lafayette campus, pursuant to the following Notice mailed to each member of the Board by the Secretary on January 16, 1998:
In accordance with the Bylaws, there will be a stated meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convening at 1:30 p.m., Friday, February 6, 1998, Anniversary Drawing Room, Purdue Memorial Union, on the West Lafayette campus.
Specific Agenda items will be posted and distributed subsequently in the manner required by law.
II. ROLL CALL, FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 1998.
Chairman McGinley called the meeting to order at 1:35 p.m. The following members of the Board were present as follows: Mrs. Edmondson, Messrs. Essex, Hardin, Jesse, McGinley, McKenna, Moreau, Powers and Townsend. Also present for all or part of the meeting were Dr. Beering, President of the University; Dr. Ford, Treasurer of the Corporation and Executive Vice President and Treasurer of the University; Dr. Ringel, the University's Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs; Board Secretary Pearson; Legal Counsel Ryan; University Vice Presidents Bennett, Bums, Gappa, Kjonaas, Proenza, Sautter and Wise; Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Burke; Chancellors Alspaugh (North Central), Wartell (Fort Wayne) and Yackel (Calumet); James Chisholm, Student Body President, Purdue Student Government; Professor Linda Duttlinger, Chair, University Senate and Professor Stanley Hem, Vice Chairman, University Senate.
