I. NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Board of Trustees (the "Board") of The Trustees of Purdue University (the "Corporation") convened in stated meeting at 9:40 a.m. EST, Friday, February 28, 1997, in the Founders Study, Student-Faculty Library Center, Purdue University Calumet, pursuant to the following Notice mailed to each member of the Board by the Secretary on January 27, 1997:
In accordance with the Bylaws, there will be a stated meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convening at 9:30 a.m., EST, (Lafayette time) on Friday, February 28, 1997, in the Founders Study, Student-Faculty Library Center, on the campus of Purdue University Calumet, Hammond, Indiana.
Specific Agenda items will be posted and distributed subsequently in the manner required by law.
II. ROLL CALL, FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 1997.
Chairman McGinley called the meeting to order at 9:40 a.m. The following members of the Board were present as follows: Dr. Ecker, Ms. Shropshire, Messrs. Edwardson, Essex, Hardin, Jesse, McGinley, Moreau, Powers and Townsend. Also present for all or part of the meeting were Dr. Beering, President of the University; Dr. Ford, Treasurer of the Corporation and Executive Vice President and Treasurer of the University; Board Secretary Pearson; Legal Counsel Ryan; University Vice Presidents Bennett, Bums, Kjonaas, and Wise; Chancellors Alspaugh (North Central), Wartell (Fort Wayne) and Yackel (Calumet); and Professor Linda Duttlinger, Chair, University Senate.
