I. NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Board of Trustees (the "Board") of The Trustees of Purdue University (the "Corporation") convened in stated meeting at 1:38 p.m., Friday, November 22, 1996, in Room 304, Purdue Memorial Union Building, West Lafayette campus, pursuant to the following Notice mailed to each member of the Board by the Secretary on October 23, 1996:
In accordance with the Bylaws, there will be a stated meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convening at 1:30 p.m., Friday, November 22, 1996, Room 304 (Anniversary Drawing Room), Purdue Memorial Union, on the West Lafayette campus.
Specific Agenda items will be posted and distributed subsequently in the manner required by law.
II. ROLL CALL, FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 1996.
Chairman McGinley called the meeting to order at 1:38 p.m. The following members of the Board were present as follows: Dr. Ecker, Ms. Shropshire, Messrs. Edwardson, Essex, Hardin, Jesse, McGinley, Moreau, and Townsend. Also present for all or part of the meeting were Dr. Beering, President of the University; Dr. Ford, Treasurer of the Corporation and Executive Vice President and Treasurer of the University; Board Secretary Pearson; Legal Counsel Ryan; University Vice Presidents Bennett, Bums, Gappa, Henson, Huie, Kjonaas, Proenza, Sautter and Wise; Chancellors Alspaugh (North Central), Wartell (Fort Wayne) and Yackel (Calumet) ; Christopher Scot:t, President, Purdue Student Government; Professor Linda Duttlinger, Chair, University Senate and Professor R. E. Zink, Vice Chair, University Senate. The absence of Trustee Powers was excused by consent of the Board.
