I .  NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Boord of Trustees (the "Board") of The Trustees of Purdue University (the "Corporation") convened in special meeting at 9:12 a.m. on Monday, October 5, 1987 in Room 304, Purdue Memorial Union, pursuant to the following Notice mailed to each member of the Board by the Secretary on September 22, 1987:
Pursuant to call of the President of the Board of Trustees, there will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convening at 9:00 a.m., Monday, October 5, 1987 in Room 304, Purdue Memorial Union Building on the West Lafayette Campus, in order to:
I . Consider and act upon the University's group medical insurance p I an.
I I.  ROLL CALL.
President Powers called the meeting to order at 9:12 a.m. AN members of the Board (except one) were present as follows: Mrs. Ingle, Messrs. Anderson, Dawson, Jesse, Kessler, Kingma, Powers, Ryder and Stewart. Also present were: Dr. Beering, President of the University; Dr. Ford, Treasurer of the Corporation and Executive Vice President and Treasurer of the University; Dr. Tyler, the University's Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs; University Vice Presidents Brown, Burns, Fruitt, Huie, Lyon and Wise; Chancellor Alspaugh (North Central) and Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services Gary Newsom (Calumet); Faculty Representative to the Board John Kadlec; Student Body President Matt Crouch; Legal Counsel Bod Ie and Board Secretary Pearson.
The absence of Trustee Ringoen was excused by consent of the Board.
