The minutes of the meetings of January 28, 1919, February 7, 1919, February 14, 1919 and February 24, 1919 were read and ap¬ proved. The purchase of stock and material in connection with the Pinney Purdue Farm was, on Mr. Noel's motion, approved. On motion of Mr. Noel the President was directed to amend his report of the gift of personal property of Mr. Wm. E. Pinney by a statement of the valuation of same. a'ourji.j^ o^-j^f-yTm^ March 20, 1919. To the Board of Trustees of Purdue University. the te months The Pinney-Purdue Farm has been tsiken over on March 1st and nant occupant, Mr. George Wann, has been engaged for six to act as foreman. For a year or more in the past Mr. Pinney has been giving the use of the farm to Valparaiso University. The stock, tools, equipment and supplies on the farm belong in part to Valparaiso University and in part to Mr. Pinney. A separation of these in¬ terests and the satisfaction of both of them has been accom¬ plished by paying to Valparaiso University the sum of $5,825.00 and receiving from Valparaiso University a title to the stoclc, tools, seeds, feed and all other articles of miscellaneous character to which Valparaiso University had any claim. As carefully in¬ ventoried, this seemed a much better arrangement than to permit Valparaiso University to sell or remove this stock and equipment which we should have then been compelled to replace. The estimat¬ ed value of this property on the inventory would be somewhere near $10,000. That part of the stock and equipment to which Mr. Pinney laid claim has been transferred to Purdue University in consider¬ ation of the sum of $1.00 reserving to Mr. Pinney the right to remove certain animals on or about May 1st. These transactions have been based upon a formal agreement drawn up by Mr. Stuart and signed by the contracting parties, and attached to this report. Respectfully submitted, W.E. Stone. (Signed)
