Report on Locomotive Museum building, report, received, read, and on Mr. Downing’s motion approved.To the Board of Trustees of Purdue UniversityGentlemenActing under your authorization, a shed has been constructed over the Locomotive exhibit. While it is of simple and cheap construction, it will protect the exhibit for several years. It was built under contract awarded upon competitive bids as follow:John Tyson building $711.00.Boyle & Williamson gravel roof 128.00Total $839.00Very respectfullyW. E. Stone Prest [President]2nd. Report of Committee on Agricultural building. Report received, read, and approved by Board.To the Board of Trustees of Purdue UniversityGentlemenThe committee on Agricultural Building begs to report progress as follows. Work on the building has proceeded satisfactorily. Additional contracts have been awarded in due form after calling for competitive bids as follows:To Wallace Machine & Foundry Co. LafayetteFor boiler & stack $1114.00(To be paid for from University funds)For heating apparatus 2708.50From B. F. Sturtevant & Co. Boston (To be paid from building appropriation)To Lane Pyke Co. LafayetteFor installing heating apparatus $1812.00 (To be paid from building appropriation)To Lane Pyke Co. LafayetteFor constructing steam connections from boiler house to Agri building & Expt Station $3939.00To be paid for as follows $2939.00 from special appropriation for School of Agriculture & $1000.00 from Experiment Station fund.W.
