Stuart, Downing, Oliver, Harris, Foster, Hobbs and Hillenbrand. Governor Ralston was also present.Mr Hobbs presented his re-appointment to the Board; the appointment runs to July 1, 1921Mr Oliver presented his re-appointment to the Board; the appointment reads from July 1, 1915 to July 1, 1919. (Mr. Oliver served from July 1913 to July 1915 before re-appointment was made.)Mr. George W. Purcell presented his appointment to the Board, said appointment to run for the unexpired time for which Mr. Royal E. Purcell was appointed (to Feb 2, 1918)The Committee on Armory building made written report, also filing a supplemental report by Lieut. Kirkwood. The matter was fully discussed by the Board, and on resolution of Mr Foster (see below) the Board decided on the immediate erection of the Biological Laboratory; and the Building Committee was instructed to at once take steps for the building of an Armory, in accordance with the report of the special Armory Committee.“Resolved—That the action of the Board heretofore taken looking to the immediate erection of a Biological building be ratified and confirmed and that the Building Committee be authorized and instructed to at once take the necessary steps in the building of an armory in accordance with the report of the Special Armory Committee submitted at this meeting.”Sam’l M. Foster (signed)President Stone made verbal statements of a request on the part of certain parties, owners of property lying west of the University grounds, that the University pay a proportionate amount of expense incurred in carrying a water pipe line across the Purdue grounds from Russell Street; also of a request of the West Lafayette Water Works Company for the use of Purdue
