Downing, Stuart, Foster, Hobbs, Hillenbrand, Chandler, Purcell, and McCray.Warren T. McCray presented his appointment to the Board. Said appointment is for the unexpired term of Addison C. Harris, this being from Jan. 1, 1917 to Jan 1, 1919.Mr. Foster, appointed by the Board to receive the money devised to Purdue University by Moses Dunn, reported that he had filed a copy of his appointment with the Trust Co., but found the company not ready to make transfer.Minutes of Dec. 7, 1916, received, read and approved.On motion of Mr. Chandler, Pres. Stone, and the heads of departments concerned were given authority to purchase one high tension transformer and a large compression testing machine, at a cost of $10 000. to $12,000.Dr. Stone asked if the Board would approve the candidacy of Prof Moran as a delegate to the Constitutional Convention. Consent was given.Mr. Chandler presented a resolution of the Purdue Alumni Association of Indianapolis regarding the naming of the new Biological building for Dr. Stanley Coulter.Indianapolis, Ind.February 13th, 1917At the meeting of the Purdue Association, here, Thursday last, the following resolutions were passed.Whereas, Stanley Coulter has rendered Purdue University distinguished services covering three decades, the Purdue Association of Indianapolis believe that it would be fitting to name in his honor, the Biological Building now under construction, and which is to be occupied by him and his department; therefore, Be it resolved, that the trustees of Purdue University be requested to name the new Biological Building “Stanley Coulter Hall”.CommitteeLouis W.
