In accordance with the bylaws and pursuant to the following notice
mailed by the Secretary to each member of the Board on May 51st, the annual
meeting of the Board of Trustees was held on Monday, June 12, 1955 at 9:50
A. M. in Eliza Fowler Hall:
"In accordance with the provisions of the bylaws, the annual meeting of the Board of Trustees of Purdue University will be held in Eliza Fowler Hall on Mond^, June 12, 1953 at 9:30 A. M,"
There were present: Mrs, Meredith, Messrs Edgerton, Hall, Hillenbrand, Kimbrough, Lilly, Noel, Simpson, President Ross and the President of the Uni¬ versity,
President Ross presided and the Secretary acted as secretary.
Controller Stewart was present during the afternoon session,

The minutes of the special meeting held May 24, 1933 were read and ap¬ proved.
II.  ANNOUNCEiVETTS.
President Elliott announced that a group of persons who had attended the meeting of the National Editorial Association at Indianapolis last week would visit Purdue University today, and arrangements had been made for the Board to meet them and to have luncheon with them in the Memorial Union Building. He also said that on account of Mrs. Elliott's absence from the city, the dinner for the Trustees and their wives, usually held at the President's residence the evening before Commencement, would be held at the Memorial Union Building at seven o'clock. Ur.  Lilly would give a talk on research, and a demonstration of recent developments in television would be made.
