I^ NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened in
the Trustees' Room in Eliza Fowler Hall at 9:30 A. M., Tuesday, December 8,
1936, pursuant to the call of the President and the following notice which
had been sent to each member of the Board on November 27, 1956:
"President Ross has instructed me to notify you that there will be a special meeting ef the Board of Trustees ef The Trustees of Purdue University at 9:50 A, M., Tuesday, December 8, 1936, in Eliza Fowler Hall, to meet with the State Budget Committee for the purpose of considering the legislative budget for the bien- nitim 1937-1939, and to consider and act upon any matter or busi¬ ness that may come before said meeting."
II. ROLL CALL.
In the absence of President David E. Ross, the meeting was called to order by the Vice-President, James W. Noel, and on roll call, the following answered present: Messrs. P. R. Edgerton, J. E. Hall, J. A. Hillenbrand, J. K. Lilly, J, W. Noel, and R. A. Simpson.
Dr. Edward C. Elliott, President of the University, R, B, Stewart, Con¬ troller of the University, and F, C, Hockema, Secretary of the Board, were also present.
The following were absent; Mrs. Virginia C, Meredith (illness), Mr, David E, Ross, and Mr. J. L. Kim¬brough (illness).
A quorum was present.
Mr. J. W. Noel presided, and the Secretary acted as secretary.
III. THE BOARD RESOLVES ITSELF INTO A COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE TO SIT WITH THE STATE BUDGET COM^OTTEE.
On nwtion of Mr. Hillenbrand, seconded by Mr. Hall, and unanimously carried, the Board resolved itself into a committee of the whole to sit with the State Budget Committee, for the consideration of the legislative
