The Board of Trustees of the Trustees of Purdue University convened in : the Trustees' Room in Eliza Fowler Hall at 10:00 A. M., Friday, September 25, i 1935, p'orsuant to the call of the President and the following notice which
i had been sent to each member of the Board on September 3, 1956:
i
"President Ross has instructed me to notify you that there i     will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Trustees of Purdue University at 10:00 A. M., Friday, September 25, 1936, in Eliza Fowler Hall, for the purpose of accepting a federal grant to aid in the construction of an additional women's residence hall, to receive and act upon proposals for additional financing of the structure, to receive and act upon bids for construction of the building, and to transact any other business which may come before the Board."
II. ROLL CALL.
The meeting was called to order by the President, David E. Ross, and,
i on roll call, the follov/ing answered present: Mr. David E. Ross, Mr. Joslah
r K. Lilly, Mr. Joseph E. Hall, Mr. John A. Hillenbrand, Mr. Jarries  W. Noel,
Mr. Robert A. Simpson, Mr. Palmer Edgerton, and Mr. J. Lloyd Kimbrough.
i     Dr. Edward C. Elliott, President of Purdue University, and F. C. Hocke-

j ma. Secretary of  the Board, were also present.
I     The following were absent: Mrs. Virginia C. Meredith.
Mr. David E. Ross presided, and the Secretary acted as secretary. '     III. APPROVAL OF m,UTES.
The Secretary presented to the meeting minutes of the annual meeting ; held June 8, 1936, and the special meeting held July 5, 1936, mimeographed I copies of which minutes had heretofore been sent to and been approved, in
