SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TRUSTEES OF PURDUE UNIVERSITY

Ii NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened in
the Conference Room of the Executive Bdlding at 10:00 A. M., Friday,
October 29, 1957, pursuant to the call of the President and the following
notice which had been sent to each member of the Board on October 11, 1957,
by the Secretary;
"President Ross has instructed me to notify you that there will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue Uni¬ versity at 10:00 A. M., Friday, October 29, 1957, in the Executive Bdld¬ ing (l) to receive, open, consider, and act upon bids for the construc¬ tion and furnishing of an additional residence hall for men, (2) to con¬ sider and act upon a proposal to issue bonds to provide additional funds for the construction of an additional residence hall for men, such bonds to be secured by mortgage and pledge of said proposed bdldng and eqdpment, the real estate upon which same will be situated, and the net income therefrom, (5) to consider and act upon any and all other matters pertaining to the construction, furnishing, and financing of the pro¬ posed residence hall for men, and (4) to consider and act upon any other matter or business that may come before said meeting."
II, ROLL CALL.
The following Trustees were present; Messrs. Edgerton, Hall, Hillenbrand, Noel, Ross, Simpson, and Wheeler, being the majority and quorum of the Board,
Dr. Edward C Elliott, President of the University, R. B. Stewart, Con¬ troller of tie University, and F. C. Hockema, Secretary of the Board, were also present.
The following Trustees were absent; Miss McHale and Mr. Lilly. President Elliott reported that Miss McHale was not able to be present because of a previous engagement and that Mr. Lilly was absent because of illness.
