I. The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened
in the Trustees' Room in Eliza Fowler Hall at 10:00 A. M., Friday, December
20, 1955, pTirsuant to the call of the President and the following notice
which had been sent to each member pf -the Beard pn December 10, 1955:
"President Rpss has instructed me tc nptify ypu that there will be a special meeting pf the Bpard pf Trustees pf The Trus¬ tees pf Purdue University at 10:00 A. M. pn Friday, December 20, 1935, in Eliza Fpwler Hall, fer the purppse pf receiving and ppen- ing bids fer the constructipn of additional housing facilities for women students and tx) transact aiy other business which may come before the Board."
II. ROLLCALL.
In the absence of President Ross and Vice-President Noel, the meeting was called to order by Mr. J. K. Lilly, and on rollcall the following an¬ swered present: Messrs. Edgerton, Hall and Lilly.
Dr. E. C. Elliott, President pf Purdue University, and F. C. Hpckema, Secretary pf the Beard were alsp present.
Mrs, Meredith, Messrs, Kimbrpugh and Simpspn were unable tP attend pn ac- cpunt pf illness. Messrs. Hillenbrand and Rpss were tuiable tP attend pn ac- cpunt pf perspnal business,
Mr. J, K. Lilly presided and the Secretary acted as secretaiy.
III. BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ADDITIONAL HOUSING FACILITIES FOR WOMEN STUDENTS.
The representatives cf the bidders entered and were acccmpanied by Mr. Walter Schpler, architect, Mr. C. D. Bushnell, Superintendent pf Buildings, Mr. R. T. Hamilton, Construction Superintendent, Miss Dorothy C. Stratton, Dean cf Wpmen, and Miss Helen B. Schleman, Directcr pf the Wemen's Resi¬ dence Hall.
