458 MEETING OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TRUSTEES OF PURDUE UNIVERSITY March 9, 1971 A. ROLL CALL. As authorized by the Board of Trustees in Executive Session on March 3, 1971, and pursuant to notice, from President Knoy, the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened on March 9, 1971. All members of the Committee were present as follows: President Knoy, Trustees Brumfield and Wilson. B. AUTHORIZATION OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNIVERSITY IN CONNECTION WITH GUEST HOURS RULES AND REGULATIONS. After discussion of previous actions and present proposals (B, 1/19-20/71), and upon proper motion duly iseconded and unanimously carried, the Executive Committee authorized the President of the University to approve revisions and modifications of the Guest Hours rules and regulations as follows: 1. Rules and regulations relative to guest registration. 2. Regulation relative to "no guest hours" during the 5:00 pm - 6:00 prri period on approved Guest Hours days. 3. Regulations requiring housing unit approval of an authorized Guest Hours plan each semester versus once per academic year. 4. Subject to all existing rules, regulations, and requirements to extend the Guest Hours policy to the regular Summer Session operation of the Residence Halls. C. APPROVAL OF ALLOWABLE EXCEPTIONS TO SECTION 4 C OF THE REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE USE AND ASSIGNMENT OF UNIVERSITY FACILITIES AT THE LAFAYETTE CAMPUS (UNIVERSITY RESIDENCES AND PURDUE MEMORIAL UNION). After discussion of previous actions and present proposals (J, 11/4/70), and upon proper motion duly seconded and unanimously carried, the Executive Committee approved the following Allowable Exceptions to Section 4 C of the Regulations Governing the Use and Assignment of University Facilities at the Lafayette Campus (for University Residences and Purdue Memorial Union): Regulations governing University o-waied and operated residences and guest rooms permit the use and possession of alcoholic beverages in the apartments of Married Student Housing, the resident rooms located
