553 SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TRUSTEES OF PURDUE UNIVERSITY ^^^"^"'""^ Executive Building March 21, 1962 I. NOTICE OF MEETING. The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened in special meeting in theTrustees' Room of theExecutive Building of Purdue University at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 1962, pursuant to action of the Board of Trustees on January 17-18, 1962, and further pursuant to the following notice sent to each menaber of theBoard by the Secretary on March 1, 1962: In accordance with action by the Board of Trustees on January 17-18, 1962, there will be a special meeting of theBoard of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University on Wednesday, March 21, 1962, con¬ vening at 10:00 a.m. CDT in theTrustees' Roona of theExecutive Building of the University, in order to: 1. Consider and act upon the issuance and sale of Purdue University Dormitory Facilities Revenue Bonds, Series E, to finance construction of Married Student Courts II. » 2. Consider and act upon the issuance and sale of Purdue University Dormitory Facilities Revenue Bonds, Series F, to finance construction of Residence Hall H-4; and to 3. Consider and act upon any other matter or business which may come before said naeeting. II. ROLL CALL. Since President Hanley's arrival had been delayed, Vice President Thompson called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. All naembers of the Board except two were present as follows: Mrs, Vogler, Messrs. Creighton, Kettler, Rumely, Schenck, Thompson and Wilson. The absences of Mr. Branigin and Mr. Hanley were excused by consent. (Mr. Hanley arrived at 10:35 a.m.) Also present were Vice President and Treasurer Freehafer, Counsel Schilling, University Vice President Mallett, Executive Assistant to the President Hicks, Assistant Treasurer Finn, Legal Assistant Lowe, Professor Powers, Vice President of Purdue Research Foundation, Assistant Morris and Secretary Skinner. Mr. Frank Arganbright of the Lafayette Journal and Courier and Mr. Howard Gillespie of the Bureau of Information -were also in attendance. Entering the meeting at this time were the following: Mr. C. E. Harrington representing the bond syndicate headed by B. J. Van Ingen & Co. , Inc. , Mr.
