826 STATED MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TRUSTEES OF PURDUE UNIVERSITY Room 326, Purdue Memorial Cent er Trustees' Room, Executive Building I. NOTICE OF EXECUTIVE SESSION. May 29-30, 1964 The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened in iEIxecutive Session jointly with Executive Committee of Purdue Research Foundation in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of iPurdue Uni¬ versity at 4:10 pm on Friday, May 29, 1964, pursuant to the following notice sent to each Trustee by the Secretary on May 19, 1964: President Hanley has asked me to notify you that he has called an iEbcecutive Session of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of iPvirdue University to convene at 4: 00 pm CDT on Friday, May 29, 1964, in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Bvdlding of Purdue University. II. ROLL CALL. i President Hovde, as Chairman of the Executive Comnaittee of Purdue i Research Foundation, called the meeting to order at 4:10 pm, with the state¬ ment that the joint meeting had been called to handle a series of items which involve both groups. All naenabers of the Board of Trustees except one were present as follows: Mrs. Vogler, Messrs. Brumfield, Dicken, Hanley, Kettler, Thompson, Wickard and Wilson. The absence of Mr. DeLaurier was excused by consent of the Board. Also present were President Hovde, Vice President and Treasurer Freehafer, Counsel Schilling, Dean E. L. Butz, and Secretary Skinner. Members of the Executive Committee of Purdue Research Foundation present were the following: President Hovde, Messrs. Hanley, Thompson, Bixler and Shreve. Also present were Mr. Lowe, Secretary, and Mr. Hentschel, Treasurer, of FHirdue Research Fovmdation. in. AUTHORIZATION OF REQUEST TO PURDUE RESEARCH FOUNDATION AND ROSS-ADE FOUNDATION TO ACQUIRE LAND FOR ANIMAL SCIENCES OPERATIONS. Treasurer Freehafer recalled previous discussion and action of the Board of Trustees in connection with eventual replacement of the Swine and Livestock Farms with other land farther from the City of West Lafayette (XXXIX, January 19, 1955; XLIX, April 17, 1963). When part of the Swine Farm was sold to the School City of West Lafayette, it was agreed that the swine operation would be moved from its present location near the site of the proposed new school building (L, April 17, 1963). Replacement land is needed before this move can be made.
