L NOTICE OF MEETING.
June 1, 1963
The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened in stated meeting in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of the University at 9:36 a.m. on Saturday, June I, 1963, pursuant to the following notice sent to each member of the Board by the Secretary on May 8, 1963:
In accordance with provisions of the By-Laws, there will be a stated meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University on Saturday, June 1, 1963, convening at 9:30 a.m. CDT in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of the University, in order to:
1. . Consider and act upon bids for the following construction projects:
a. Alterations to Purdue Memorial Union Building - 1963
b. Air Conditioning of "D" Wing - Union Club Alterations -
1963A, Purdue Memorial Union Building
c. Construction cmd Alterations of Research Laboratories,
Lilly Hall of Life Sciences - 1962 (Revised);
2.
Consider and act upon any other matter or business Which may come before said meeting.
II. ROLL CALL.
In the absence of President Hanley, Vice President Thompson called the meeting to order at 9:36 a.m. All members of the Board except two were present as follows: Mrs. Vogler, Messrs. Dicken, Kettler, Rumely, Schenck, Thompson and Wilson. The absences of Mr. Hanley, because of illness, and of Mr. DeLaurier, because of urgent business elsewhere, were excused by consent of the Board. Also present were President Hovde.. Vice President and Treasurer Freehafer, Counsel Schilling, University/Presidents Chenea, Mallett and Young, Executive Assistant to the President Hicks, Professor Andrews, Business Manager and Assistant Treasurer Finn, Legal Assistant Lowe, Assistant Morris and Secretary Skinner. Mr. Frank Arganbright of the Lafayette Journal and Courier, and staff members Abbett, Gillespie, Hamilton and Smalley were also in attendance.
