I Trustees' Room of the Executive Building on the campus of Purdue University, ii Lafayette, Indiana, on Tuesday, October 17, 1959, at 9:30 A. M., pursuant to the ij following notice which had been sent to each member of the Board by the Secre- I tary on Septeniber 25, 1939:
! In accordance v/ith the pro-visions of the By-Lav/s, there will
I be a stated meeting of the ^oard of Trustees of T^ie Trustees of
!^ Purdue University on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 17 and 18, 1939,
ii convening at 9:30 A. M., on Tuesday in the Trustees' Room of the
|i Executive Building of the University, in order to consider and act
ji upon any matter or business that may come before said meeting.

I Among the important items on the agenda for the meeting are:

:j (l) Approval of actions taken concerning teaching staff, physi-
i; cal plant, etc., made necessary by the enlarged enrollment
'i - of the Universi-ty.

Ii . (2) Review of the activities of the Purdue Research Foundation
ii and the Ross-Ade Foundation.
Ii _ (3) Reports of progress of new construction and inspection of ii certain buildings and equipment completed imder the program.
li (4) Consideration of the financial operations of the Universi-ty
i for the year ending June 30, 1939.

ji (5) Preliminary plans coming from existing national emergencies.

I call the follov/ing Trustees answered present: Miss McHale, Messrs. Edgerton,
i Hall, Hillenbrand, Noel, Ross, Simpson, and V/heeler. Mr. Sturm entered the
ji meeting at 10:15 A. M, This is the entire membership of the Board.
