The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened
j! in the Executive Building, Wednesday, January 19, 1938, at 9:30 i-.M., pur-

Ij suant to the call of the President and the following notice which had been
Ij sent to each member of the Board by the Secretary on January 5, 1938:
"In accordance with the provisions of the By-laws of The Trustees of Purdue University there will be a s-tated meeting of -the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University in the Executive building at 9:30 A.M. on Wednesday, January 19, 1938."
II. hOLL CALL.
The following Trustees were present on January 19, 1933: Miss McHale, Messrs. Edgerton, Hall, Hillenbrand, Noel, Ross, and Simpson, being the majority and quorum of the Board.
Dr. Edv/ard C. Llliott, President of the University, R. B. Stevjart, Con¬ troller of the University, and Frank C Hockema, Secretary' of -the Board, -ivere also present.
The following Trustees were absent: Messrs. Lilly and Wheeler. The Secretary reported that Messrs. Lilly and Wlieeler were not able to attend because of urgent business elsewhere. After discussion, and on action of Mr. Noel, seconded by Mr. Hall and unanimously carried, all excuses for absence were approved.
Ivh". Ross presided, and the Secretary acted as secretary.
