The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building, on the campus of Purdue Univer¬ sity, Lafayette, Indiana, Friday, July 22, 1958, at 10:00 A.M,, piu'suant to the following notiice which had been sent to each member of the Board by the Secretary on July 14, 1938:
President Ross has instructed rae to notify you that there will be.a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University, at 10:00 A,M,, friday, July 22, 1938, in the Trustees' Room of tiie Executive Buildihg, located on the campus of Purdue University, Lafayette, Indiana,
This meeting is for the purpose of accepting a federal grant to aid in the construction of an additional Women's Residence Hall, to adopt a resolution appro-ving and authorizing the accept¬ ance of said offer, and to consider and act upon any other matter or business that may come before saiu meeting.

The following Trustees were present: Miss McHale, Messrs, Edgerton, Hall, Hillenbrand, Noel, Ross, Simpson, and Wheeler, being the majority and quorum of the Board,
Dr, Edward C, Elliott, President of the University, R. B, Stewart, Con¬ troller of the University, and Frank C Hockema, Secretary of the Board, were also present.
The following Trustees were absent: Mr. Lilly.
The Secretary reported that Mr. Lilly was not able to attend because of urgent business elsewhere. After discussion, and on motion of Mr. Noel, seconded by Mr. Hall, and unanimously carried, Mr. Lilly's excuse for absence was approved.
Mr. Ross presided, and the Secretarj- acted as secretary.
