Mr. Banks presented his reappointment as a member of the Board; said appointment runs for three years from Aug. 25-1892 and is properly signed and acknowledged. Minutes of last meeting Oct. 4 read and adopted.The following resolution presented by Mr. Banks regarding the acceptance of the sum of $35000 presented by Mr. Amos Heavilon of Frankfort Ind. was unanimously adopted by the Board. Said resolution reads as follows: Whereas—on the 26th day of October 1892 Mr. Amos Heavilon of Frankfort, Indiana made a donation of land, money and personal property to the amount of 35000.00 to Charles B. Stuart in trust for Purdue University, and Whereas—said Heavilon desires to have the terms of said donation and the acceptance of the same and the acceptance of said Stuart in trust, put in writing and properly executed by the Trustees of Purdue University (or a majority of them) and said Stuart Trustee; Now therefore be it resolved that the said donation of the said Heavilon is hereby accepted upon the terms stipulated in a written agreement this day presented to said Trustees of Purdue University. And be it further resolved, that said Trustees hereby approve of the selection of said Stuart to hold the said property in trust, and convert the same into cash as stipulated in said written agreement; andBe it further resolved that the execution of said agreement on behalf of the University be made by the Trustees of the University (or by a majority of them) and that the Secretary of the University is hereby instructed to attest the same and to attach thereunto the seal of the University. And said agreement is hereby executed by said Heavilon by Messrs W.A. Banks J.M. Dresser, J.N. Davidson and Sylvester Johnson as Trustees of Purdue University and by Charles B. Stuart Trustee, and read in the words and figures following, to-wit;
