(At La Fayette.)Pursuant to order at last meeting the Trustees of Purdue University met on the above day at the office of their Secretary John A. Stein in La Fayette; present President Ratliff and trustees Edgerton, Ragan and Peddle. On motion of Mr. Peddle it was ordered that the surplus copies of the legal documents in the so-called Purdue Fraternity cases be put at the disposal of President White—he having paid a large part of the expenses connected with the printing of the same. Also 50 copies of the 7th Annual Report of Purdue University. Mr. Edgerton moved that a warrant issue to President White for two months’ salary as President of Purdue University, being in full to August 31, 1883. So ordered. The Board then adjourned to re-assemble at the office of Secretary Stein to-morrow morning at 9 o’clock. August 23, 1883. Thursday, 9 A.M. At office of Secretary John A. Stein. Pursuant to adjournment the Trustees re-assembled at the above place and hour. Present as yesterday. Also present Trustees Williams and Hargrove. Also present Prest. [President] White, Prest. Smart, the members of the Faculty and citizens of La Fayette. The minutes of the last meeting (August 1st and 2d.) were read and adopted. President White then read to the Trustees his final report as President of Purdue University—being the Ninth Annual Report. The same was received and taken under consideration by the Board.
