On motion it was ordered that a committee consisting of President Smart, Professors Stahl and Goss, be appointed to investigate the efficiency of different fire extinguishers, the facilities of the University to provide its own fire protection, the plan for laying pipes, and the question of insurance, and report the result of their investigation to the Board at a further meeting. 4. Messrs. Ratliff and Hargrove are appointed to make investigation in regard to the running of the Boarding House and report to a future sitting of the Board at its present session.
