Present, President Ratliff and Trustees Williams, Peddle, Ragan and Edgerton. Also present President White. The minutes of the sessions of December 1881 and June 8, 1882 were read and approved. On motion of Mr. Williams it was ordered that President White be authorized to have repaired the roofs of the University Buildings, paint the front fence, and make such other repair as may be necessary to put the buildings in good Condition for the opening of the next College year. On motion of Mr. Ragan it was ordered that the following scale of prices be fixed for students work in the Mechanical Department. 10 cents per hour for first year 12 ½ cents per hour for second year if skillful and 15 cents per hour for third & fourth yearsAnd that students in the Agricultural Department be allowed for their work, on the recommendation of the Professor of Agriculture ten cents per hour for the first year and 12 ½ cents per hour for the second year. Mr. Williams moved that the wages of H.S. Hockstaff, hand on the Campus and Experimental field be $36 per month from July 1, 1882, or $40 if he stays a year from July 1, 1882. So ordered. On motion of Mr. Ragan it was ordered that President White be authorized to employ G.K. Greene of Indianapolis, an expert geologist, to classify and arrange the specimens in Geological Cabinet at a compensation not to exceed $100.00
