[Messieurs] Winslow Lanier & Co. authorizing them to collect the Interest on the Two Hundred Thousand Dollars of 5/20 U.S. Bonds, now held and registered in the name of the Indiana Agricultural College, whenever the Same may become due and payable. The above is a true copy of the Record. Attest. J.J. Hayden, Secy. [Secretary][drawing of Seal](signed) Conrad Baker, Gov. [Governor] and Ex Officio Prest. [President] of the Board.State of Indiana. United States of America. Whereas the Board of Trustees of Indiana Agricultural College at a meeting held at the State House, in Indianapolis, Indiana on the 6th day of September A.D. 1867, among other things, ordered that the President of the Board of Trustees, Conrad Baker, Governor of Indiana, be authorized and empowered to execute a Power of Attorney to Winslow Lanier & Co. authorizing them to collect the interest on the Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00) of 5/20 United States Bonds now held and registered in the name of “Indiana Agricultural College” whenever the same may become due and payable—a copy of which said order, certified by the President and Secretary of Said Board of Trustees under the Seal of Said College is hereto attached. Now be it known that the “Indiana Agricultural College” of the State of Indiana, by the undersigned President thereof does hereby make constitute and appoint Winslow Lanier & Co. of the City of New York the true and lawful attorney of said “Indiana Agricultural College” to receive from the Treasurer
