p 264. MEBTIiTG OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF PURDUE UNIVERSITY. April 13, 1921. ELIZA FOWLER HALL. TRUSTEES ROOM h WjL/^AAJuU-a I Present: Messrs. Breaks, Chandler^Hillenbrand, Hobbs, Noel and Oliver. Mr. Henry W. Msirshall presented his appointment to the Board, said appointment to run for the unexpired term of Mr. W.V. Stuart, or until February 2, I924. The minutes of the last meeting, January 12th, were read and approved. President Stone presented the following written communications: No. 1. Item 1. Regarding buildings at estimated coat of $1,000,000. Item 2, Regarding lands (including 12 acres of land now used by the Agricultural Department) for the use of Military and Physical Education Departments, Item 2B,Requesting that the Board formiulate a policy and a budget system for the lands and agricultural operations of the University. ^. April 12, 1921. To the Board of Trustees:- I have received from various departments the following re¬ commendations as to needed buildings supplemented by a statement as to needed land, 1. Buildinf?8. 1, A Home Economics building, to be erected as soon as tuilding is feasible - estimated cost --*^uu,uuu, 2, A Recitation building, to be erected next year - estimated coat 150,000. 3, Addition to the Chemistry Laboratory, as soon as possible - estimated cost — - j.uu,uuu, 4, Engineering buildings - Addition to the Electrical Laboretoir fe ono Testing Laboratorv for Civil Engineering /'P,uuw, Changes and additions to Mechanical Engineering ^ Laboratory- - P'lH' Additions to Shops- ?n'ooo Locomotive Testing Plant and Museum >u,uuv>. 5, Agricultural buildings-House, barn, sheds, cribs, etc.
