STATED MEETING OF ffiE BOARD OF TRUSTEES ..OF THE TRUSTEES OF PURDUE UNIVERSITY
Executive Building -June 24, 1944
r^ NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of Purdue University, Lafayette, Indiana, on Saturday, June 24, 1944, at 9:50 a.m., pursuant to the folio-wing notice which had been sent to each member of the Board by the Secretary on June 3, 1944:
In accordance vrith the provisions of the By-Lavjs, there will be a stated meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue TSiiversity on Saturday, June 24, 1944, convening at 9:30 a.m. in the. Trustees* Room in the Executive Building of the University, in order tO: consider and act upon any matter or business that may come before said meeting.
IL.. ROLL CALL.
The meeting was called to order at 9:30 a.m. by President Hillenbrand, The following Tmstees were present- Miss McHale, Messrs, Cole, Hanley, Hillenbrand, Ruthenburg, Stuart, Sturm, Thompson, and V/ilson, constituting a majority and quo¬ rum of the Board,
President Edward C. Elliott and Secretaiy Hockema v;ere also present.
III. CERTIFICATE OF APPOINTMENT OF Hfi^ GUY Hj_ WILSON.
Mr. Guy H. Wilson presented his certificate of appointment by the Governor to the Board of Trustees of Purdue University, effective June 5, 1944, to fill the unexpired teim of Mr. James V/. Noel or until his successor is appointed and qualified.
Mr. Wilson had been duly qualified before a notary.
IV. ACKNOVJLEDGaaENTS.
President Elliott presented to the Board letters of acknowledgment from Mrs. Genevieve Noel, for flowers sent to the funeral of Mr. Noel, and from Mr. James Rathbim, for flowers sent to the funeral of his uncle, Mr, George Ade.
By consent, the letters were received and ordered filed by the Secretary the Board.
V. APPROVAL OF MIITOTES OF STATED MEETING HELD FEBRUARY _26, 1944.
The Secretaiy reported that a copy of the minutes of the stated meeting of the Board held Febmary 26,-1944 had been sent to each Tmstee, and no sugges-i for correction or addition had been received from any of the Tmstees,
After discussion and upon motion (Hanley-Thom.pson) unanimously carried, minutes of the stated meeting held February 26, 1944 were approved.
