The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened in the Trustees' Room in the Executive Building of Purdue University, Lai'fn.-ette, Indiana, on Wednesday, January 81, 1942, at 9:50 A. M., pursuant to the fol- lov.'ing notice which had been sent to each .iiercber of the Board bv the Secretary on Januaiy 5, 1942:
In accordance v;ith the urovisions of the By-La-.-'S, there will be a stated meeting of the Board of Trustees of The TrusteeH of Purdue University on V/ednesday and Thursday, January 21 and 22, 1942, conven¬ ing at 9:30 A. ivl., Viedne.sday, in the Trustees' Room in the Executive Building of the University.
Among the iteii-s on the agenda for the meeting are:
(l)  i^eceive, open, consider, and act upon bids for the nro- posed Aeronaiitical Laboratory/' Annex to the liechanical Engineering Building;
(p.)  Act on matters relative to the oneration of the Univer¬ sity on a i.var-time basis; and
(3)  Any other matterB v.'hich may come before said meeting.

'ihe meeting v:as called to order at 9:30 A. M. by Prenident Ross. The fol- lov;jng Trustees Y;ere present:  Ivlisa I.-icHale, Mr. Hanley, Mr.- Hillenbrand, I.'r. Koel, Mr. Ross, kr. Stuart, Mr. btui-m, Ur.  Thomnson, and J!r. VJheeler, constitut¬ ing the entire •'^oard.
Dr. Edv.-ard C. Elliott, President of the University, and Frank 0 Hockema, Secretary to the Board, v;ere also present.

The Secretary reported that a copy of the minutes of the stated meeting of the -i^oard held October 15-16, 1941 had been nent to each Trustee and that no suggestion for correction nor addition had been received.
After discussion and upon proper r.:otion (Noel-flillenbrand) unanimously car¬ ried, the minutes of the stated meeting of the Board of Trustees held October ' 15-16, 1941 Vv-ere approved.

President Elliott reported that Miss Helen Hand v;as confined to the Home Hospital ivith a heart ailment.
After discussion and upon proper motion (Noel-Thonnson) unanimously car¬ ried, Liss Helen Hand v.'us grai\ted a leave of absence v;ith Day during her illness.
