The Board of Trustees of Purdue University assembled in the office of the President of the University in Eliza Fowler Hall at 9:30 A. M., Wednesday April 25, 1954, in accordance with adjournment of the stated meeting of the Board held April 18, 1954, as contained in the following motion: "Upon motion of Mr. Edgerton, seconded by Mr. Hall and carried unanimously, the Board adjourned to meet at 9:50 A. M., Wednesday April 25, 1954 in Eliza Fowler Han, for the purpose of receiving and opening bids for the proposed women's residence hall at 10:00 A. M., to act upon the loan agreement with the Public Works Ad¬ ministration, and to consider and authorize a bond issue to pro¬ vide funds for the construction of the women's residence hall, and to transact any other unfinished business of this meeting." There were present: Mrs. Meredith, Messrs Edgerton, Hall, Hillen¬ brand, Kimbrough, Simpson, President Ross and the President of the Univer¬ sity. President Elliott stated that he had received messages from Mr. Lilly, who was ill and had been advised by his physician not to undertake the trip, and from Mr. Noel, detained by the illness of Mrs. Noel. II. BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF WORSEN'S RESIDENCE HALL RECEIVED. At 10:00 A. M., upon motion of Mr. Kimbrough, seconded by Mr. Hall, and carried unanimously, the Trustees proceeded to the auditorium of Eliza Fowler Hall to receive the bids for the construction and eqiiipment of the women's residence hall. The members responded to rollcall, as follows: Mr. Edgerton Mr. Hall Mr. Hillenbrand Mr. Kimbrough Mr. Lilly Mrs. Meredith Mr. Noel Mr. Ross Mr. Simpson Present Present Present Present (Absent because of illness) Present (Absent because of illness of wife) Present Present
