I,     NOTICE OiJ MEIT'ING,
The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building on the campus of Purdue University, Lafayette, Indiana, on Saturday, May 2, 1942, at 9:30 A. M., pursuant to the following notice which had been sent to each member of the Board by the Secretary on April 18, 1942:
In accordance with the provisions of the By-Laws, there will be a stated meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue- . University on Saturday, May 2, 1942, oonvening.at 9:30 A. M^, in the •¦ Trustees Room of the Executive Building of the University.
Among the important items on the agenda for the meeting are:
1. Confiim the action of the Board taken at the meeting held April 15-16, 1942 in amending Section 1, Article III of the By-Laws of The Trustees of Purdue University from "The Board shall, at its annual meeting in June, 1937, and every two years thereafter...." t£ "The Board shall,
at its annual meeting in October, 1943. and every ty.'0 years thereafter,..."
2. Transact such other business as may properly come before the meeting.
II.  ROLL CALL.
The meeting v/as called to order at 9:50 A. M., by President Ross. On roll call the follo'.'.'ing Trustees answered present: Messrs. Hanley, Hillenbrand. Noel. Ross, Stuart, and Thompson. Colonel Wheeler entered the meeting at 9:50 A. M., and Mr. Sturm at 10:45 A. M.
Mr. Ross presented the following telegram from Miss McHale:

Upon motion (Noel-Hillenbrand)  unanimously carried, Miss McHale's excuse for ab¬ sence was accepted and approved,  and the Secretaiy was instructed to write to her offering the condolences of the members of the Board.
