The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened in the I Trustees' Room in the Executive Building of Purdue University, Lafayette, Indi- ji ana, Tuesday, March 30, 1943, at 10:30 A. M,, pursuant to the follov/ing notice vribich |: had been sent to each member of the Board by the Secretaiy on March 12, 1943: f
i        Vice-President Noel has instructed me to notify you that there j    will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees j    of Purdue University at 10:30 A. M., Tuesday, March 30, 1943, in the ij    Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of the University.
ji        This meeting is called in order to:
1) Receive, open, consider, and act upon bids for the (a) general construction, (b) plimibing, (c) heating and ventilating, (d) electrical wiring and light fix- j; tures, (e) kitchen equipment, or combinations of any
I two or more classifications, (a), (b), (c), (d), or
ji (e), pertaining to the construction of and equipment
I for -the proposed new hangar at the Purdue University
i. Airport,
i ;!        2) Modify the present lease contract between the Trustees
of Purdue Universi-ty and the Purdue Aeronautics Corpor- •
I ation.

ji        3) Act upon recoramendations of the Executive and Finance i Committee and -the Committee on Physical Plant and Equip-
I ment of -the Board of Trustees as indicated in the min¬
utes of the meeting held February 11, 1943.
i        4) Consider and act upon any other matter or business that
! may come before said meeting.

I     irj_ ROLL CALL.
The meeting v/as called to order at 10:30 A. M. by Vice-President Noel. The I following Trustees were present: Mr, Hanley, Mr, Hillenbrand, Mr. Noel, Mr, Stuart, i Mr. Sturm, and Mr. Thompson, constituting a majority and quorum of the Board,
Mr, Allison E, Stuart reported that Mr. David E. Ross continues seriously ill i with very little change in his condition. President Elliott reported that Doctor i McHale and Mr, Ruthenburg were unable to be present at the meeting because of ur¬ gent business elsewhere.
After discussion and upon proper motion (Stuart-Hillenbrand) unanimously car¬ ried, the excuses for the absences of Mr. Ross, Doctor McHale, and Mr. Ruthenburg were accepted and approved.
Doctor Edward C. Elliott, President of the University, Mr. R, B. Stewart, Controller of the University, and Mr. Frank C Hockema, Secretaiy to the Board, v/ere also present.
