L    NOTICE OF MEETING.
June 26,   1959
The Board.of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened in special meeting in the Trustees' Room of the Executive BuUding of Purdue Uni- vei^sity at. 10:10 a.na,. on Friday,   June 26,   1959,  pursuant to action of the I Board on May 30,   1959,   and further pursuant to the following notice sent to i each menaber of the Board by the Secretary oh June 4,   1959:-
I In accordance with action by the Board of Trustees on May 30,   1959,
there will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University on Friday,   June 26,   1959,   convening at 10:00 a.m. CDT in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of the University, in order to;
I 1.    Consider and act upon the issuance and sale of Student
Health Bonds of 1959 to finance construction of Student
i Health Center;

2.    Consider and act upon any other matter or business which may come before said meeting.
U.    ROLL CALL.
President Hanley called the meeting to order at 10:10 a. m.    All members i of the Board except one were present as follows:   Mrs.  Van Ness,  Messrs. Bannon,   DeLaurier,  Hanley,   Moore,  Schenck,   Thompson and Wilson.    The ^ absence of Mr.  Kettler was excused by consent of the Board.    Also present I were Treasurer Stewart,  Assistant Treasurer Freehafer,   Counsel Schilling, I Assistant Business Manager Gabbard,  Assistant to the President Hicks,   Legal j Assistant Lowe,  Assistant Pereida and Secretary Skinner.   (President Hovde I was out of the city on business. )   Mr.   Johnston,   Bureau of Information,  and ! Mr.  William Crandall,   representing the Lafayette Journal and Courier,  were
j also in attendance.

i Entering the meeting at this time were Messrs.  Abbett,   Hamilton,  Miller
j and Wade of the University staff and Mr.   Bandomer of A.  M.  Kinney,  Inc.

m. APPROVAL OF LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR DEAN L. M. HUTCHINGS.
i Dean Mallett recommended Board approval of a leave of absence for Dean
i L.   M.   Hutchings,   School of Veterinary Science and Medicine,   for a six-month •period beginning April 6,   1959,   with pay,   because of serious illness.    He re- 1 ported that Dean Hutchings' condition remains grave.
