SPECIAL MEETING.OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TRUSTEES OF	
PURDUE UNIVERSITY
Executive Building July 11,   1950
I.    NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Board.of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University naet at 11:00 a.m.  on Tuesday,   July 11,   1950,  in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of the University pursuant to the following notice sent to each Trustee by the Assistant Secretary on June 28,   1950:
President Stuart has instructed me to notify you that there, will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University on Tuesday,  July 11,   1950,   convening at 10:00 a.m. . CST (11:00 a.m.   DST) in the Trustees' Roona of the Executive Building of the University in order to hear a report and act upon.the proposed capital budget for the University to be presented to the 1951 General Assembly.    The State Budget Committee has requested the transmittal of requests for capital improvements by July 15,   1950.
IL    ROLL CALL.
President Stuart called the meeting to order at 11:00 a.m.    All members of the Board except Mr.  Hanley were present as follows:   Mrs.   Van Ness, Messrs.  Kettler,  Lynn,  O'Brien,  Sherwood,   Stuart,  Thompson and Wilson. The absence of Mr.  Hanley was excused by consent of the Board.    Also present were Treasurer Stewart,   Conaptroller Kettler,  and Assistant Secretary Skinner. (President Hovde was in England attending the meeting of the British Common¬ wealth Advisory Conamittee on Defense Science as a representative of the Re¬ search and Development Board of the U.  S.   Department of Defense; Secretary Hockema was in England with the Purdue Varsity Glee Club,  XLI,  June 17, 1950.)
III. PRESENTATION OF CERTIFICATE OF APPOINTMENT OF MR. GUY H.  WILSON.
Mr.  Guy H.  Wilson presented his certificate of appointment by the Governor to the Board of Trustees of Purdue University,  effective July 1,   1950, for a period of three years or until his successor is appdnted and qualified.
Mr.   Wilson had been duly qualified by subscribing to his oath of office.
IV. PRESENTATION OF CERTIFICATE OF REAPPOINTMENT OF MR. CORNELIUS O'BRIEN.
Mr.   Cornelius O'Brien presented Ks certificate of reappointnaent by the Governor to the Board of Trustees of Purdue University,  effective July 1,   1950, for a period of three years or until his successor is appointed and qualified.
Mr.   O'Brien had been duly qualified by subscribing to his oath of office.
