978 jj „ STATED MEETING.OF.THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TRUSTEES OF PURDUE UNIVERSITY Executive Building April 16, 1952 L NOTICE OF MEETING. The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened in stated meeting in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of Purdue University at 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 1952, pursuant to the fol¬ lowing notice sent to each naenaber of the Board by the Secretary on March 31, 1952: In accordance with the provisions of the By-Laws, there will be a stated naeeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University on Wednesday and Thursday, April 16-17, 1952, convening at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 1952, in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of the University, in order to: 1. Consider and act upon the budgets of the University, the Agri¬ cultural Experiment Station, the Agricultural Extension Serv¬ ice, and the Self-Supporting Enterprises for the year 1952-1953; 2. Consider and act upon any other fiscal problems related to the budget; 3. Receive, open, consider and act upon bids for: Jet Propulsion Laboratory No. 2; 4. Consider and act upon any other matter or business which may come before said meeting. II. ROLL CALL. President Hanley called the naeeting to order at 9:40 a.na. All naenabers of the Board were present as follows: Mrs. Van Ness, Messrs. Anderson, Branigin, Hanley, Kettler, Lynn, O'Brien, Thompson and Wilson. Also present were President Hovde, Treasurer Stewart, Conaptroller Kettler, Secretary Hockenaa and Assistant Secretary Skinner. m. LETTERS OF ACKNOWLEDGMENT. Secretary Hockema presented acknowledgnaents from Mr. Walter Scholer, Jr. , for flowers sent to the funeral of Mrs. Scholer, and from Mr. R. B. Stewart for flowers sent to the funeral of his naother, Mrs. Alice Stewart. By consent the foregoing acknowledgments were received and ordered filed. IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF BOARD MEETING HELD DECEMBER 19. 1951, The Secretary reported that the minutes of the special meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University held December 19, 1951, had been sent to each Trustee, and that no suggestion or correction had been received from any Trustee.
