SPECIAL MEETING OF, THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TRUSTEES
OF PURDUE UNIVERSITY
Purdue Memorial Union June 22, 1951
, I. NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened in special meeting in Room 318, Purdue Memorial Union, on the University campus, at 2:35 p.m. (DST), Friday, June. 22, 1951, pursuant to Minute X. Board meeting held June 9, 1961, and further pursuant to the following notice sent to each member of the Board by the Secretary on June 11, 1951:
President Hanley has asked: me to notify you that there wiU be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue Uni¬ versity on Thursday, June 21, 1951, convening at 2:00 p.m. (DST) in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of the University, in order to:
1. Consider and determine policy with respect to recommenda¬ tion that Purdue Research Foundation purchase controlling interest in Mid-West Airline, and
2. Consider and "act upon any other matter or business that may come before said meeting.
and further pursuant to the following notice sent to each member of the Board by the Secretary on June 18. 1951:
President Hanley has asked me to notify you that the special naeeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University scheduled for 2:00 p.m. (DST) Thursday, June 21, 1951. has been postponed to 2:00 p.m. (DST) Friday, June 22, 1951.
Members of the Board are invited to attend the Air Transportation Conference luncheon that day at 12:15 p.m. , North Ball Room, Purdue Memorial Union. Places will be arranged for all members of the Board.
II. ROLL CALL.
President Hanley called the meeting to order at 2:35 p.m. All members of the Board were present as follows: Mrs. Van Ness, Messrs. Branigin, Hanley, Kettler, Lynn, O'Brien, Sherwood, Thompson and Wilson. Also present were President Hovde, Treasurer Stewart, Secretary Hockema and Assistant Secre¬ tary Skinner.
III. INFORMAL MEETING WITH CIVIL AERONAUTICS BOARD
Meeting informally with the Board of Trustees were the following members of the Civil Aeronautics Board: Mr. Donald Nyrop. Chairman, Mr. Oswald Ryan,
