STATED MEETING OF THE BOARD OF T OF
PURDUE UNIVERSITY
Executive Building June 17, 1950
I. NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened in stated meeting in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of Purdue University at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 17, 1950, pursuant to the folio-wing notice sent to each member of the Board by the Secretary on May 26, 1950:
In accordance -with the provisions of the By-Laws, there -will be a stated meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University on Saturday, June 17, 1950, convening at 1:00 p.m. CST (2:00 p.m. DST) in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of the University in order to consider and act upon any matter or business that may come before said meeting.
II. ROLL CALL.
President Stuart called the meeting to order at 2:00 p. m. All members of the Board except one -were present as follo-ws: Mrs. Van Ness, Messrs, Calland, Hanley, Kettler, Lynn, Sher-wood, Stuart and Thompson. The ab¬ sence of Mr. O'Brien was excused by consent. Also present were President Hovde, Treasurer Stewart, Comptroller Kettler, Secretary Hockema, and Assistant Secretary Skinner.
Secretary Hockema read aloud a letter from Mr. O'Brien's secretary and a letter addressed to President Stuart from Mr. O'Brien. By consent the Secretary to the Board was instructed to acknowledge these letters.
III. LETTER OF ACKNOV^LEDGMENT.
Secretary Hockema read a note from Mrs. Brenton A. Devol, Senior, and family acknowledging flowers sent by the President and The Trustees of Purdue University for the funeral of Mr. Devol.
By consent the foregoing acknowledgnaent was received and ordered filed. '
IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF EXECUTIVE AND FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING HELD JANUARY 17, 1950.
The Secretary reported that the minutes of the meeting of the Executive and Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees held January 17, 1950, had been sent to each Trustee, and that no suggestions or corrections had been received from any Trustee.
