I. NOTICE OF MEETING. ...
The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened in special meeting in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of the University at 9:55 a. na. ,  Thursday,  December 7,   1950,  pursuant to Minute XLIV,  October 18, 1950,  and further pursuant to the following notice sent to each member of the Board by the Secretary on November 20,   1950:
President Hanley has asked me to notify you that there will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University on Thursday,   December 7,   1950,  convening at 9:30 a.m.  inthe Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of Purdue University,  in order to:
1. Receive and act upon the items and docunaents listed in the President's Calendar;
2. Discuss the Legislative Budget Request
a. Inter-institutional agreenaent,
b. Basis for budget requests,
c. Factors affecting future University operations during
the next biennium;
3. Consider and act upon any other matter or business which may come before said meeting.
II. ROLL CALL.
Vice President Thompson called the naeeting to order at 9:55 a.m. (President Hanley's arrival was delayed by bad weather conditions.)   All naembers of the Board except four were present as follows:   Messrs.  Kettler, Lynn,  O'Brien,  Thompson and Wilson.    Mrs,  Van Ness,  Mr.  Hanley and Mr.  Branigin,  delayed by adverse weather conditions,  arrived after roll was called.    Mr.  Sherwood's absence was excused by consent.    Also present were President Hovde,  Treasurer Stewart,   Comptroller Kettler,  Secretary Hockema,  and Assistant Secretary Skinner.
III. INTERIM REPORT,  BUDGET REQUEST (XXXVIII,  October 18, 1950; XIV, November 1,   1950).
President Hovde reported that the State Budget Committee has accepted the ratio proposed by the inter-institutional committee for appropriations to the four Indiana colleges and universities.    President Hovde .stated that the presidents of the four schools will try tq h^i^a*^s»s-sion with'0^s,;Bu4.8^* Conamittee before its adjournment about the middle of December.
