I.    NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened in special meeting in the Trustees' Roona of the Executive Building of the Uni¬ versity at 10:00 a. na.  Wednesday,  November 1,   1950, pursuant to the following notice sent to each member of the Board by the Secretary on October 24,   1950:
President Hanley has asked me to notify you that there will be a special naeeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University on Wednesday,  November 1,   1950,  convening at 10:00 a.m.   inthe Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of the University,  in order to:
1. Consider and act upon the proposed Purdue University operating budget for the biennium 1951-1953,  to be pre¬ sented to the 1951 General Assembly,  and
2. Consider and act upon any other matter or business that may come before said meeting.
IL    ROLL CALL.
President Hanley called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.    All naembers of the Board except three were present as follows:    Mrs.   Van Ness, rMessrs. Hanley,  Kettler,  Lynn,  Thompson and Wilson.    The absences of Mr.  O'Brien and Mr.  Sherwood because of urgent business elsewhere and of Mr.   Branigin because of the funeral of his father were excused by consent.    Also present were President Hovde,   Treasurer Stewart,   Comptroller Kettler,  Secretary Hockema,  and Assistant Secretary Skinner.
III. LETTER OF ACKNOWLEDGMENT.
Secretary Hockema presented a letter from Mr.  Branigin acknowledging flowers sent to the funeral of his mother,  Mrs.  E.  L.  Branigin.
By consent the foregoing acknowledgment was received and ordered filed.
IV. ALLOTMENT OF REPAIR AND REHABILITATION FUNDS BY STATE BUDGET COMMITTEE.
President Hovde read the following copy of minute of State Budget Committee meeting held October 23,   1950:
