I.    NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened in stated meeting in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of Purdue Uni¬ versity at 2:00 p.m.  CST (3:00 p.m.   CDT) on Saturday,  June 4,   1955, pursuant to Minute XVI, April 20,   1955,  and further pursuant to the following notice sent to each member of the Board by the Secretary on May 16,   1955:
In accordance with the provisions of the By-Laws, there will be a stated meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University on Saturday,  June 4,   1955,   convening at 2:00 p. m.  CST (3:00 p.m.   CDT) in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of the University in order to:
1. Receive,   open,   consider and act upon bids for
a. Alterations and Additions to Student Union B (Harriet
and Janaes M.  Fowler,  Jr. ,  Memorial Hall)
b. Gas Ihrbine Laboratory, Electrical Work
2. Consider and act upon any other matter or business which
may come before said meeting.
IL    ROLL CALL.
President Hanley called the naeeting to order at 2:00 p.m.  CST (3:00 p.m. CDT).   All members of the Board were present as follows:   Mrs.   Crooks, Messrs. Anderson,   Branigin,  Hanley,  Kettler,  Lynn,  Morton.  Thonapson and Wilson.   Also present were president Hovde.   Treasurer Stewart. Assistant Treasurer and Business Manager Freehafer, Assistant Business Manager Gabbard,  Secretary Hockema, and Assistant Secretary Skinner.
m.    OPENING OF BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION.
At 2:05 p.m.  CST (3:05 p.m.  CDT) the following entered the meeting: Messrs.  Walter Scholer,  Sr. , and Walter Scholer,  Jr., architects, Abbett, Hamilton,  Kashner,  Johnston, Smalley,  Lowe and Wade of the University staff, and representatives of bidders on the following projects:
a. Alterations and Additions to Student Union B (Harriet and
James M.   Fowler,  Jr.  Memorial Hall)
b. Gas Turbine Laboratory, Electrical Work.
Treasurer Stewart read the names of those submitting bids as follovK
