^^^^PECIALJMEETING^^^^ OFTHE TRUSTEES _^ _ OF PURDUE UNIVERSITY Executive Building July 15, 1952 L NOTICE OF MEETING. The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened in special meeting in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of Purdue University at 1:45 p.m. , Tuesday, July 15, 1952, pursuant to the following notice sent to each member of the Board by the Secretary on July 1, 1952: President Hanley asked me to notify you that there will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University on Tuesday, July 15, 1952, convening at (12:30 p.m. CST) 1:30 p.m. CDT in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of the University, in order to: 1. Receive, open, consider and act upon bids for: Jet Propulsion Laboratory No. 2, Revised; 2. Hear a report and act upon the proposed capital budget, for the University to be presented to the 1953 General Assembly; and 3. Consider and act upon any other matter or business which may come before said meeting. II. ROLL CALL. President Hanley called the meeting to order at 1:45 p.m. (CDT). All members of the Board except one were present as follows: Mrs. Crooks, Messrs. Anderson, Hanley, Kettler, Lynn, O'Brien, Thompson and Wilson. The absence of Mr. Branigin was excused by consent. Also present were President Hovde, Treasurer Stewart, Comptroller Kettler, Secretary Hockema, and Assistant Secretary Skinner. III. OPENING OF BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION. ¦ • At 1:47 p.m. the following entered the meeting: Professors Hawkins and Warner, and Messrs. Hamilton, Kashner and Wade of the Uniyersity staff, and representatives of bidders on the following project: Jet Propulsion Laboratory No. 2, Revised. Treasurer Stewart read the names of those submitting bids as follows: K. H. Kettelhut, Lafayette, Indiana A. E. Kemmer, Lafayette, Indiana. All the bids having been received, Treasurer Stewart proceeded to open and read the bids in the presence of the bidders in accordance with the published notice. After all the bids had been opened and read aloud, the bidders were excused, and Uniyersity staff members retired to prepare a tabulation of bids.
