L    NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue Uniyersity convened in special meeting in the Library of the Purdue-Calumet Center at Hammond, IncUana, at 11:35 a.m.   on Wednesday,  November 19,   1952,  pursuantto Minute XXIII,   October 15,   1962, and further pursuant to the following notice sent to each member of theBoard by the Secretary on November 5,   1952:
President Hanley asked me to notify you that there will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue Univer¬ sity on Wednesday, November 19,   1952,  convening at 11:00 a.m. at the Purdue-Calumet Center,   171st and Woodmar Avenue, Hammond, Indiana,  in order to:
1. Consider and act upon matters pertaining to Purdue-Calumet Center development; and
2. Consider and act upon any other matter or business which may come before said meeting.
II. ROLL CALL.
President Hanley called the meeting to order at 11:35 am.   All members of the Board except one were present as follows:   Mrs.  Crooks,  Messrs. Anderson,   Branigin, Hanley,  Kettler,  Lynn,  Thompson and Wilson.    The absence of Mr.  O'Brien was excused by consent.   Also present were President Hovde,   Treasurer Stewart,  Secretary Hockema and Assistant Secretary Skinner.
III. INCREASE IN FEE-REMISSION SCHOLARSHIPS.
Secretary Hockema reported that certain scholarships in the University scholarship program, including Special Merit, University Merit (Undergrad¬ uate and Graduate),  International and other Scholarships, are provided entirely or in part by remission of the out-of-state tuition fee.    Inview of the action of the Board recorded in Minute IV,  September 29,   1952,  President Hovde recom¬ mended that all scholarships provicUng for^emissinn of the out-of-state tuition fee be continued with the inclusion of the increase in out-of-state tuition fee (from $100 to $150 per semester and from $50 to $75 for Summer Session).
After discussion and upon motion (Lynn-Wilson) unanimously carried, the Board approved continuation of the present practice of remission of out-of- state tuition fees for certain scholarships, including the increase in the out- of-state fee as recommended, to be effective September 1,-1953.
